Life Skills

On Friday, 21st January, the children at Sitwell enjoyed a day of Life Skills, with each year group taking part in different activities. The activities ranged from cleaning teeth to tying shoelaces to creating safety presentations. In Year 3, the children practised tying laces, how to phone 999 and learned how to use sign language. In Year 4, they practised telling the time, learned what a budget is and discussed road safety. Children in Year 5 learned how to sew a button, created presentations and used a disclosure tablet to brush their teeth. Meanwhile, In Y6, children created presentations based on safety. The day was a huge success, and children developed skills necessary for today’s world. Everyone is already looking forward to the next one.
