Anti-Bullying Week
November 26, 2024
At our school, Anti-Bullying Week was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate kindness, respect, and individuality. The day was packed with engaging activities that reinforced these important values in fun and meaningful ways.
On Monday, we kicked things off by wearing odd socks, symbolizing that our unique qualities make us special and deserving of celebration. The children shared thoughtful discussions about what makes them unique and why it’s important to appreciate those differences in others.
Thursday’s highlight was a live assembly with Ann Foxley Johnson, an anti-bullying consultant. During the assembly, the children explored ways to be respectful to others and imagined what their “kindness capes” would include if they were kindness superheroes! This creative activity sparked a lot of enthusiasm and insightful ideas from our students.
Throughout the week, the children consistently demonstrated their natural kindness and thoughtfulness. Their participation and engagement reflected just how committed they are to creating a supportive and respectful school community. Well done, everyone!
