Welcome Back
24th February 2022Welcome back to school after the February half-term break!
The last half term turned out to be fabulous. Particular highlights for me included the Safer Internet Day, celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week, Life Skills’ Day and the TTRS and NSPCC dress-up day, where we raised £171 for this tremendous charity. Thank you for your donations. Here are just a few photographs to show our children in action.
Parent Consultations
We’re looking forward to welcoming you into school in the next couple of weeks to meet with class teachers for parent consultation meetings. Once again, appointments will be held in classrooms. At your appointment, the class teacher will let you know how well your child is doing in school and at the face-to-face appointments, there will be the opportunity to look through your child’s books to see the progress they have made since September in a wide range of subjects. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s learning, please share these with the class teacher.
Coffee Morning – Tuesday 15th March
I am delighted to introduce our first Coffee Morning, which will be held on Tuesday 15th March from 9:15am in the hall. All welcome to come and have a cuppa and have a chat. We want to talk to parents about parent consultation meetings and what workshops you would like within school. Please come along and let us know your views! Refreshments will be available.
Congratulations on becoming a 2021/22 Music Mark School!
Our school has been nominated by our local Music Service/Hub to become a Music Mark School for the 2021/22 academic year. They have recognised the value that we place on music and the commitment we have to providing a high-quality music education for all children. We are really pleased to have received this award as we are extremely proud of our curriculum offer, which ensures all children access a broad and balanced curriculum.
Spring Term 2
This half term is set to be just as busy as we begin the week with our whole-school Book Week, celebrating World Book Day on the 3rd March. I love that we are able to provide these experiences for our children to ensure that they move onto their next venture with the skills, knowledge and values to set them on the path to success.
